WNBA Prop Bets Today

Last Updated: Jul 16, 2024

We’ve got a full slate of WNBA action today, with tip-off times spanning from 11:30 a.m. ET to 10 p.m. A rematch between the Sun (18-5) and Liberty (20-4) is the highlight of the schedule, but Sky vs Aces could also be intriguing.

Here are the best WNBA prop bets for today.

All WNBA odds are current as of Tuesday, July 16.

Sabrina Ionescu: Over 20.5 Points (-115) vs Sun

FanDuel Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit

Ionescu has looked like a completely different player this year. She’s still firing away from three-point range, but her biggest improvement can be found inside the arc, where she’s sinking 50% of her looks — a dramatic increase compared to the 38.3% mark she posted in 2023.

Becoming a more versatile scorer has made Ionescu much more dangerous offensively, and she’s averaging a career-high 19.4 points per game as a result. In the past, you could run her off the three-point line and be relatively safe, but now, she’s knocking down 50.5% (88/174) of her attempts within 16 feet of the rim.

Her improved scoring has been on display in two meetings with Connecticut this season, logging 24 and 21 points, respectively. The line is 20.5 points for tonight’s contest, but with Breanna Stewart, Kayla Thornton, Nyara Sabally and Betnijah Laney-Hamilton potentially out, she could easily see increased usage.

This one could be a nail-biter, but I’m confident enough in Ionescu’s ability to make the Over my WNBA bet of the day.

Best WNBA Props Today

Storm: Over 85.5 Points (-122) @ Sparks

FanDuel Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit

Storm guard Skylar Diggins-Smith left Sunday’s matchup with Atlanta early with an ankle injury, but she’s not listed on the injury report ahead of this afternoon’s tilt with the Sparks, meaning Seattle will be at full strength.

That’s bad news for Los Angeles, which enters today’s contest with the league’s third-worst defensive rating. Their opponents have averaged 87.6 points per game since June 9, including a season-high 95 — courtesy of the Storm — on June 11.

On top of this being a bad matchup for the Sparks, this will also be an emotional game for Seattle forward Nneka Ogwumike. After spending 12 seasons with the team, this will be the nine-time All-Star’s first game back in Los Angeles, and she scored a season-high 26 points against the Sparks last month.

With Ogwumike leading the way, the Storm’s fourth-ranked offense could be in for an especially productive day. I like the Over.
